How to get the game

Currently Moonlight in Garland is available through a private testing pool or a public demo.

If you would like to join the testing pool, please email me with a little about yourself or join the discord.

You can download the public alpha demo on itch.io below, it would be amazing if you could also fill in this form with some feedback when you’re done!

Installation

Windows:

• Download the exe or installer file.
• Double click to open and follow the installation prompts.

Mac:

• Download the dmg file.
• Double click to open the dmg file.
• Drag the app file to your apps folder.
• Double click to open.

(Note for Mac install, please make sure to drag the file to desktop/app folder before opening or else you will get a “game not found” error. There is currently not a way to fix this so if it happens you may need to redownload.)

Save Files and Updating

Locate your save folder:

Windows location: %localappdata% > MoonlightInGarland

Mac location: library/applicationsupport/com.moonlightingarland.moonlight/
(Mac library files may not be visible, here is a guide on finding them)

In this folder there should be 3 files:

• MiGdebug.log
• MiGSaveDataJson.sav
• MiGSaveData.sav

All 3 files are required to move a save or report a bug.

 When updating to a new version, if you want to continue your save file:

• Find your old save files and copy them to a safe location (eg. move them to your desktop).
• Delete the old version of the game.
• Install the new version of the game.
• Copy your save files back into the correct save data folder.

Controls

Note that the controls are currently being updating based on Alpha testing, for the more up to date version, press H during gameplay.
