Cedar Court

Cedar Court is an apartment building located in the East side of Garland.

It is one of the 4 starter apartment choices that players can move to at the begining of the game.

While initially run down and falling apart, the building style is classical and full of heritage charm. It is one of the oldest buildings in Garland.

Building History

Cedar Court is the first apartment option available to choose in Moonlight in Garland.

Built as an office building for a prestigious law firm in the early 1900’s, Cedar Court is a majestic building that was once famous for it’s marble floors and for having the first fully electric elevator system in Garland.

After being converted to apartments in the early 1950’s, the building went through a series of changes in structure and ownership until it hit a period of financial distress in the 1990’s where building management stripped and sold anything not nailed down to cover maintenance costs.

Since then it has fallen into disrepair and while surrounded by other beautiful buildings from the era, it remains a shell of its former self.

You arrive at Cedar Court and meet Léon in the lobby. He is rude and angry that as per usual, no one told him there was a new resident moving in. He gets your keys and gives you a quick tour of the lobby, mailbox, recycling bin and noticeboard explaining the function of each one.

You follow him through the lift to your new apartment where Cecile is waiting. She was cleaning out the apartment and welcomes you warmly. Ryan called her rather than Léon about your arrival because didn’t want to deal with grumpy Léon.

Cecile gifts you a little pot and a seed for a plant that she found while cleaning the apartment.

Cecile and Léon leave you to settle in.
