Relationships
Platonic and romantic relationship progressions are available with 22 NPCs in Garland, 18 of which are romancable.
Relationships are progressed through a tiered point system which is represented by a flower indicator in menu that grows as the progression happens.
Daily talking is split into 3 dialogue categories:
- Small talk (“Good morning, this Spring weather is lovely isn’t it?”
- Big talk (“Read any good books lately? I've been reading about the wilds of Forbidden Rainforests. The most forbidden sounding the name, the more I want to visit.”)
- Goodbye (“Well, I better get back to work, let’s catch up later!”)
Petal Points
Level of relationship is determined by the amount of petals you have with an NPC. Check current amounts via the Relationship app in your phone.
- Gain points by talking, gifting liked items, attending special events or festivals.
- Lose points by ignoring, gifting disliked items, choices made through social events.
When you experience a relationship event with an NPC it can have wider reaching consequences with their friends and family.
Eg. If you break up with Avery, don’t be surprised if their parents are a bit upset too!
Petal Events
Moving apartments
- Get to Garland, rent your first apartment: studio
- Pay off your security deposit loan
- Real Estate window opens then. Talk to Sage.
- You have options from all buildings but other buildings are one smaller than the current building.
- Bigger apartments open every time you pay your security deposit back.
- You can downgrade.
- Building events are remembered.
- Costs:
- Moving cost up front $20k.
- Loan amount opens for your security deposit which gets bigger depending on the size of the apartment.
- Move house:
- Immediately go to your apartment
- Box up all your stuff
- Cute dialogue
- Truck comes
- Move to new apartment, everything boxed.
- Building manager visits to explain stuff.
- New security deposit loan amount opens.
- Mail from Ryan etc.
- Unbox your stuff when you want to.
- Later:
- Window boxes/balcony and garden.
- Move to a house.
- Owning your apartment outright
Petal Events are special events that happen at each relationship level which the player can deepen their relationship with the NPC.
Some petal events are cutscenes, some have completable tasks associated.
Completing Petal Events also unlocks features:
- Phone - call an NPC to find their location from the relationship app.
- Apartment key - visit the NPC’s apartment even if they’re not home.
Romancable NPCs have 8 Petal Events, Plutonic NPCs have 5 Petal Events. Check their individual pages for triggers and summaries.
During the third Petal Event players are given a choice to pursue a romantic relationship or remain platonic.

Dating
When dating an NPC, the player can sleep in their bed overnight.
Proposals
Note - Players can date multiple NPCs at the same time.
To propose to an NPC you’ll need to purchase a Ring from the Wedding Boutique. There are several ring options available so pick the one your partner would like best.
Present the ring to your partner and see their response. Success isn’t guaranteed so make sure you’re in a good place in your relationship!
Once your proposal has been accepted to you can visit the Wedding Boutique in the Mall to plan your commitment event.
Weddings and commitment ceremonies
When you’re ready to plan your ceremony, head to the Wedding Boutique and select the options you’d like.

Once you have selected options a loan will be opened in your diary.
Pay off your bill in the loan tab of the banking app and your event will take place on the date you’ve selected.
The ceremony won’t happen unless you’ve paid off the costs so if you miss the date you’ll have to either cancel the event and reschedule or wait until next year!
If you cancel an event, the amount of money you’ve paid will be refunded to your account.
On the day of the ceremony…
You have the option to get ready in the morning. Once you leave your apartment you will be taken to your ceremony event.
After the ceremony you will be back in your apartment with your spouse.
Breaking up
If you are dating an NPC, you can break up with them from the Wedding Boutique in the mall. Different options will have different effects depending on the personality of the dump-ee…

After breaking up, your relationship will be dropped down to either broken up or divorced depending on your previous relationship.
Second chances
If you miss your chance at dating someone during their third petal event or break up and change your mind you can always get a second chance by purchasing a Bouquet from the Wedding Boutique and presenting it to an NPC.
Note: Success at a second chance isn’t guaranteed and you’ll need to be at least at Friends level with the NPC for a good outcome.

Birthdays
Player birthday
When waking up on the morning of your birthday you will receive a text message from an unknown number inviting you to the restaurant in Garland North for free cake. On arrival at the restaurant your friends will be waiting at a surprise birthday party.
Only NPCs who are at a level of Friendly or above will attend the party.
