Earning Money

City living is expensive and you’ll need to make money to upgrade your building, move buildings or purchase furnishings.

Part time jobs

  • Collect trash you find on the street and sell it to the recycling bin.
  • Complete daily noticeboard tasks.
  • Get a part time job at the private detective.
  • Trade on the stock market in Quinn’s investment club.
  • Fish, garden and collect crystals to sell.

Managing Money

Most shops accept cash only but some things in Garland do electronic payments.

You’ll need to open a bank account.

Some jobs pay cash and some jobs pay via bank transfer. Bank transfers aren’t instant but pending funds are transferred to your account at midnight every night.

Opening a bank account/unlocking the banking app

During your welcome quests you will open a bank account with Garland National Bank.

Weekly Interest

To encourage savings, Garland National Bank pays interest on your account funds. Once a week your interest will be transferred to your account and a summary letter will be sent to your mailbox.

ATMs can be found in most suburbs of Garland. At them you can check your balance, withdraw and deposit money.

Look out for the red ATMs though, they don’t belong to GNB and if you use them, you’ll be charged a fee!

Loans and Bills

Sometimes you’ll need to do something that costs a lot of money that you might not have up front. To accomodate, Garland National Bank offers a simple loan/billing service where NPCs can requests money.

To make payments on loans, check the loan tab of your banking app and make the payment directly from your savings account.
