Summary
Max has some lucky socks that he wears for important court hearings. They have big holes in them and he asks if you know a way to transfer luck from old socks to new socks. You come up with a plan to make an offering at the shrine with them.
Depending on the quality of the offering you give he reacts differently and says he feels great/terrible etc.
As you’re walking away you stop him from being hit by a falling branch and he’s so appreciative that he thinks the socks he’s wearing must be his new lucky ones!
