How to find your save folder
To access these folders you might need to tick the box that says "show hidden files".
Windows:
C:\Users\AppData\Local\MoonlightInGarland\(USER_ID)
Mac:
library/applicationsupport/com.moonlightingarland.moonlight/(USER_ID)
File types
From 1.3.6Y and beyond, save files are stored as editable json. Pre-1.3.6Y, files were stored as a mixture of json and ds_grid information and are not editable.
Files are orangised per user by your user_id and save_id.
USER_ID - Steam’s user id or a default 0000000000 for non-Steam players.
SAVE_ID - A randomly generated 6 digit number specific to your save file.
Save file:
MiG_SaveDataJson_slot_(SAVE_ID).sav
Debug log:
MiG_debug_slot_(SAVE_ID).log
User settings:
(USER_ID)_MiG_Settings_Data.json
Back ups:
When you save, your old save file is transferred to the /BACKUP folder. Old full log files are also stored here in case they need to be retrieved.
PRE 1.3.6M Information
The file and folder structure before 1.3.6M was different as Steam Cloud Saves were not enabled. See below for examples.

MiGSaveData_X.sav – other format save file
