Living in an apartment comes with all kinds of fun things to do.
Moving in
Renting an apartment
After you’ve spent the night in the hotel, follow the road outside East to visit the Quality Real Estate office. Ryan will be waiting out the front to help you select an apartment. Lucky for you, the City Council is covering your security deposit with an interest free loan!
There are 4 apartment buildings you can choose between. See Apartments for more information.
After renting an apartment, navigate to the building and speak to the building manager in the lobby to arrange your move in.
Once you move in you will receive a letter with information on how to pay back your interest free security deposit.
Note: Once you have paid off your initial move in costs, you can move between buildings and upgrade your apartment space. See Moving for more info.
Welcome Tasks
After you settle in, new tasks will be added to your diary to introduce you to the areas around Garland. Once you complete them you will be an official resident.

| Open a Bank Account | Open a bank account at the CBD bank near Birch Tower. |
| Buy a watering can | Buy a watering can from the East side florist. |
| Get your Garland ID | Get your new ID card at the council building in the West. |
| Have some dinner | Treat myself to a ramen for dinner in the North. |
| Ride the ferris wheel | Take an evening ferris wheel ride in Garland Central to see the whole city. |
Get a Map
- Go to the Tourist Info centre in Central Garland.
- The scene will trigger when you enter.
- After the scene is completed, the map is available in your phone.
Open a Bank Account
- Go to Garland CBD and enter Garland National Bank.
- The scene will trigger when you enter.
- After the scene is completed, the bank app is available in your phone.
- You can now use ATMs to check your balance.
Get your Garland ID
- Go to the City Council building in West Garland.
- The scene will trigger when you enter.
- After the scene is complete your I.D. will be updated in your phone and you will be able to access City Council Initiative stampcards at Patrick’s desk.
Buy a Watering Can
- Go to the Florist in East Garland.
- Buy a watering can, the scene will trigger once the shop UI closes if you have a watering can in your inventory.
- You can get advice on growing plants and are invited to attend Cecile’s plant class.
Have Some Dinner
- Go to the ramen shop in North Garland.
- Enter the building after 6pm and the scene will trigger,
- Enjoy your dinner.
Ride the Ferris Wheel
- On the first day you will receive a ticket to ride the wheel in your mail.
- Have the ticket in your inventory and visit the wheel after 6pm.
- The scene will trigger when you get close to the wheel.
- Ride the wheel and enjoy the view.
After all of the welcome tasks have been completed the City Council will mail you a thank you gift.
Apartment Lobby
Your mailbox is the best way to find out what’s going on in Garland. You’ll get shop updates, letters from NPCs and sometimes even gifts.
Noticeboard
Every lobby has a noticeboard that you can take daily jobs at. Great for earning some extra cash when you’re getting started.

Recycling bin
Picking up trash around Garland is a great way to help out and become part of the community.

Your Apartment
Bed
To replenish energy you’ll need somewhere to sleep. Luckily your first apartment comes partially furnished and includes a bed.
Windows
If you need to take a moment to relax and watch the world go by, take a look out your window and take a relaxation break.

You can decorate your apartment with furniture or plants.
